The Bede Family Foundation

3131 Jet Center Terrace

Fort Pierce, Florida 34946

The Bede Family Foundation was formed in 2015 with the sole purpose of introducing the youth of our community to the experimental aviation community and the joys of building kit aircraft to inspire the next generation of aviation enthusiast to develop the future of certified mechanics and aeronautical engineers.

Located in a new 20,000 sq. ft. facility at the St. Lucie County International Airport on the Florida coast, the Foundation is well-situated to provide local organizations with the guidance and technical capabilities to support their program needs.

Working through high school aviation classes, local flying clubs and EAA chapters, the Foundation provides the resources to train students in project management, aircraft maintenance, aeronautical practices and kit aircraft construction.

Participant organizations are chosen based on mentor support, facility access, organizational expertise and experience, and dedication. Successful applicants will receive the five construction packages necessary to complete the BD-4C, and the follow-up support for aircraft registration and certification, flight testing and general operations.
